A review of the Indigenous Art Code (the Code) is underway to strengthen protections for First Nations artists and consumers across the country. Cox Inall Ridgeway, a First Nations-led agency, is leading the review and is seeking your views on the Code.
What is the Indigenous Art Code?
The Code is a document that sets best practice standards for fair, transparent and ethical trade with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and their art. It was established by the Australian Government in 2010 and is administered by the Indigenous Art Code Ltd.

Consultation with a range of stakeholders and First Nations artists will continue until the end of November 2024.
