Artback NT—Some Like it Hot

$72,450 Development funding
The exhibition will align two of the Northern Territory's most revered artists, Franck Gohier and Therese Ritchie, and will reflect upon gender trouble in the tropics.

The C&H Clarke Family Trust/Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology—Dancing in Fetters: the culture of convict dance

$129,465 Touring funding
The exhibition explores music and dance in convict and colonial-era Australia and will visit a range of venues with strong links to Australia's convict heritage.

Inkhorn Projects/Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery—Virtual Macquarie Island

$81,400 Development funding
The development of an interactive exhibition currently on show at the Tasmanian Museum and Gallery will present a 3D photo-realistic simulation of Macquarie Island. This will include a virtual guided tour from digital avatars based on real-life Australian Antarctic Division scientists, and digitised collection material relevant to the history of Macquarie Island as an important scientific research station and World Heritage Site.

Milk Crate Theatre—Reclaiming Narrative

$35,220 Development funding
The exhibition celebrates 20-years of performance work elevating the voices of people whose stories are under-represented. Incorporating a curated exhibition of historical images, memorabilia and a suite of films; the project shares historical works showing how Sydney community members with lived experience of homelessness, mental health issues or disability have reclaimed their own narratives through performance.

$289,180 Touring funding
The 4th exhibition in the National Indigenous Art Triennial series, curated by Hetti Perkins, will feature works by over 20 established and emerging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island artists who will explore and expand on their current practice through a personal examination of the idea of 'Ceremony'.

National Motor Museum—Bush Mechanics—WA Tour

$72,080 Touring funding (2022–23)
A dual-language exhibition featuring original cars and footage from the Bush Mechanics TV series, and focuses on the role of the car in Aboriginal life in Central Australia, using Warlpiri storytelling to highlight wider issues affecting Aboriginal communities. Touring funding will assist the exhibition reach new venues in Western Australia.
