This exhibition tells the story of British child migration through a series of case studies of individual children, drawing on original historic sources, and interactive and digital mediums.

This exhibition toured nationally in 2010–11 with NCITO support and will now travel to Merseyside and London in the United Kingdom in 2014–15.

This exhibition of photographs from the Australian National Maritime Museum collection captures Australian beach culture from the 1930s to 2000.

This exhibition focuses on the life and work of Arthur Boyd, presenting his work alongside that of his contemporaries and linking his artwork with his actions.

Museum of Australian Democracy

Behind the lines 2014

This annual exhibition showcases Australian political cartoons, featuring work from cartoonists published in both print and online media across Australia as well as historical political cartoons from the Museum of Australian Democracy's collection.

Funding will support the development and touring of this exhibition to four venues in Victoria, New South Wales, and Western Australia.

Sounds Indigenous

This exhibition will offer audiences an insight into the complex nature of Indigenous music, exploring the story behind the songs and music and chart the evolution of Indigenous music within Australia.

Funding will support the development of this exhibition, which is scheduled to tour to seven venues in 2015-16.

National Archives of Australia

A Ticket to Paradise

This exhibition will explore the experiences of the individuals, couples and families who migrated after World War II, as well as examine the Australian Government's post-war immigration policies and promotional campaigns.

Funding will support the development of a multi-venue exhibition that will tour to every state and territory.

National Gallery of Australia

James Turrell: A Retrospective

This exhibition traces the career of James Turrell and will include light projections, holograms, architectural models and immersive light installations. This exhibition will be displayed at the National Gallery of Australia.

Touring Funding: $130,000.

Lautrec, Degas and Daumier: Impressions of Paris

This exhibition examines the roles of Daumier, Degas and Lautrec in the development of art in France, their influence and originality.

This exhibition will tour to four regional venues in New South Wales, Victoria and the Northern Territory.

National Library of Australia

Beijing: Biography of a City

This exhibition will focus on the history of Beijing, through texts, objects and models, and will provide a biography of the city, demonstrating how Beijing has become a centre of political and cultural power in China.

Funding will support the development of the exhibition which will be displayed at the National Library of Australia in 2016.

Development Funding: $130,000.

William Strutt: Australian History Painter

William Strutt was the first great exponent of the history genre of painting to work in Australia. This exhibition will survey his work and demonstrate the development of his most famous paintings through preparatory sketches and manuscripts.

This exhibition will tour to two venues in the Australian Capital Territory and Victoria.

Touring Funding: $17,500.

S.T. Gill and his audiences

This exhibition seeks to reappraise the significance of colonial artist S.T. Gill and his contribution to Australian visual culture, and will thematically chart the development of Gill's work in Australia from 1839 to 1880.

This exhibition will tour to two venues in the Australian Capital Territory and Victoria.

Touring Funding: $17,500.

National Museum of Australia

Encounters

This exhibition will feature a selection of the British Museum's Australian collection, including a significant collection of Indigenous material. It will contribute to understanding the diversity and history of Indigenous material culture.

Funding will support the development of the exhibition which is being developed in collaboration with the British Museum and in partnership with the Indigenous communities that will be represented.

Development Funding: $180,000.

National Portrait Gallery of Australia

Arcadia: Sound of the Sea

This exhibition of photographs by John Witzig, co-founder of Tracks magazine and founder of SeaNotes, ink drawings by Nicholas Hardin, and film footage by Albert Falzon, explores a group of Australian surfers in the early 1970s.

This exhibition will tour to two venues in Victoria and Queensland.

Development and Touring Funding: $28,746.

National Photographic Portrait Prize

This annual exhibition promotes the best in contemporary photographic portraiture by both professional and aspiring Australian photographers. It attracts entrants from all states and territories and reflects a national representation of contemporary Australian photographic portrait practice.

Funding will support the development and touring of the 2013 and 2014 National Photographic Portrait Prize exhibitions which will tour to venues in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and Tasmania.

Development and Touring Funding: $45,623.

Uncommon Australians: The vision of Gordon and Marilyn Darling

This exhibition will commemorate the Darlings' fundamental contribution to the National Portrait Gallery, and will feature important works from the Gallery's collection that have been supported by the Darlings, demonstrating the importance of patronage to the development of the Gallery's collection.

The exhibition will travel to regional galleries in Victoria and South Australia in 2016.

Development Funding: $13,890.

Awesome Achievers! Portraits from Australians of the Year

This exhibition will showcase selected portraits of Australian of the Year Award recipients from diverse fields of endeavour and explore concepts of national identity.

The exhibition will tour to six venues across a minimum of three states in 2016.

Development Funding: $11,741.
