Our lending rights programs support Australian writing by paying eligible creators and publishers who lose income through the free use of their books in lending libraries.

The Australian Government values artists and their contribution to culture and the economy. The Resale Royalty Right for Visual Artists ensures that, following certain commercial resales, Australian visual artists receive a direct financial benefit as their work increases in market value.

Working with states/territories
The federal, state and territory ministers for arts and culture meet on a regular basis to collaborate on developing Australia’s arts and culture sector. Attendees include ministers responsible for arts and culture in each state and territory and the Federal Minister for the Arts. The New Zealand Minister for the Arts may be invited to participate in relevant discussions.
